This is the Love Hate design created for Liberty last month. Showcased at the ‘Britain Can (Still) Make It’ exhibition held on the 4th floor of Liberty store in London to celebrate London’s Design Festival.
The Love Hate range was inspired by the 1955 film The Night of the Hunter in which Robert Mitchum plays Rev Harry Powell who has the letters L-O-V-E and H-A-T-E tattooed across his knuckles.
The right side of the teapot and tea cup are decorated with symbols of love whilst the left side features motifs depicting hate or evil. The struggle between Good and Evil continues over a cup of afternoon tea…
